FASD Keyworkers

ARC Programs is accepting applications for 2 Keyworker positions with the Support Services for Families (with FASD) Program based out of our Kelowna office. One position is a permanent full-time Keyworker, and the other is a part-time Maternity Leave coverage Keyworker position {13 hours per week}. The Support Services for Families {with FASD} Program is a community based outreach service designed to enhance protective factors and reduce risk factors for a young person with FASD, and build the capacity of their families to provide ongoing nurturing care for their children. The Keyworker provides case management support and coordination, and assistance to families in implementing the recommendations of the IHCAN Assessment provided by the Interior Health Children’s Assessment Network. The services will include providing FASD parenting education and consultation, support to access other needed community services, individual or family counseling, advocacy and support for education planning and services, and coordination and implementation of assessment recommendations. The part-time position will also help run a caregiver/parent support group.

Candidates for these positions should have specfic knowledge and expereince related to FASD  along with sufficient training and experience to perform all responsibilities of the job description. The qualifications of the position consist of the following: BSW, BA-CYC, BA and related expereince, Psychiatric Nurse,  or other related degree and direct expereince. Full-time staff also receive 3 weeks paid vacation to start and paid sick days as needed. Please note, additional hours are available in other services that can increase the hours for the part-time position up to full-time, if needed {which are not impacted by the maternity leave}.
