Child and Youth with Support Needs Family Connection Centre

A place to find connection and support throughout your child’s developmental journey.

The Central Okanagan Family Connection Centre (FCC) offers individual and group-based prevention, treatment and support services designed to help families with children and youth ages 0-18 achieve their developmental goals. These children may have developmental support needs, neurodiversity, or disabilities. A diagnosis is not required to access the FCC.

The FCC focuses on enhancing quality of life for families, by promoting inclusiveness and independence, through increased access to a broad range of supportive therapies and community services. Your child can access a comprehensive range of services at the FCC, depending on their needs.

Our services provide developmental monitoring and consulting, educational workshops, and parenting support groups. We also facilitate connections to community resources. For those requiring higher intensity and more frequent support, the FCC offers goal-focused programming across multiple therapies and services.

Inclusive Child Care (ICC) centres provide additional support options within existing licensed childcare centres, including daycare, preschool, and after-school care programs.

Families can secure a spot in a Network of Child Care Centres (NOICC) OR once the family has a space in a licensed community childcare centre, a referral can be made to Inclusive Child Care to access additional supports.

ICC Consultants provide child-specific support ensuring children and youth are included in their preschool, daycare, or afterschool program.

Children may access an ICC Worker for portions of their day if they need one-on-one support or other accommodations.
